Your donation supports programs that directly impact students across Nanaimo and Ladysmith, including the Student Support Fund, Food4Schools, Scholarships and Bursaries, and Learning Initiatives and Grants.

Support is provided through schools and programs, so needs can be recognized and addressed by the people who work closest with students.

Built on trust and accountability.

NLSF is a registered charity, and eligible donations receive official tax receipts for gifts of $20 or more. Charitable number BN 11905 2801 RR0001. All donor funds are managed through the Foundation’s accounts, with oversight from a professional accountant and an annual independent financial review.

Less than 5% of donations are used for operations and administrative costs, including staffing and office-related expenses. The majority of support goes directly toward students.

Your donation, your choice.

You can choose where your support goes. Donations can be directed to existing programs or used to establish new scholarships, bursaries, or enhanced learning grants. Nanaimo Ladysmith School Foundation also works with donors to align contributions with needs across schools and the district.

NLSF is funded by the community, for the community, through individuals, businesses, service groups, and partnerships with organizations School District 68, BCC, and United Way.
